"I'm a Survivor." Pink Power Stories.

Every woman deserves to feel beautiful but how easy it is to forget this simple fact when facing the hardships that come through battling cancer. As always, our mission here at Sugar and Spice Photography (a boudoir photography studio in Minneapolis) is to show women the simple truth: their beauty. So, we donated photo sessions to five amazing women who have been battling cancer to remind them just how strong and beautiful they are & these are their stories.

"I just finished my last reconstruction surgery in June after stage 3 breast cancer. I was diagnosed at 37 and am now 39. Sugar and Spice Photography is providing women with the opportunity to shine after what we have gone through. This is truly making a difference!"

-Beth.

"I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2018 and went through chemo and a double mastectomy with reconstruction. I am officially cancer-free and working on moving forward with my family and having a happy and healthy 2019!"

-Rachel.

"I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that had spread to my lungs last March. I have now finished 5 months of chemo, had a double mastectomy and had a wedge resection of my lung. I am now cancer free 9 months later!"

-Kari.

"In June of 2016, I lost my dad to cancer then in November I was diagnosed with Colon/Rectal cancer. I went in for surgery right after Christmas and was lucky enough to not to have to do chemo and radiation. However, it has taken a toll on my life and has changed most of my habits. I'm a single mom of 2 amazing little boys and so far have been in remission but still have plenty of appointments to make sure everything is still functioning properly. My friend suggested this photoshoot and I believe what Sugar and Spice Photography is doing is amazing."

-Alicia.

"I have had several bounds with skin cancer on my back and forearms where there is a good size chunk of flesh removed. I go yearly for check ups and there's been new spots every year. I was starting to feel like a golf course with divots all over."

-Gene.
