Covid 19

The latest info regarding our studio and Covid-19.

  • ReOpening

YIPPY!  Our studio is reopening!  Since our studio's closing in March, we have been planning how to reopen with your wellbeing as our top consideration.  Please know that we're committed to everyone's safety, and we trust our team and clients to use wisdom and to maintain behaviors to preserve the health and safety of all.  Your involvement is essential in the success of our COVID-19 Preparedness Plan.

On top of our regular cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting routines, we are taking additional safety measures in our studio, and have a Covid-19 Prepardness Plan in place, created with CDC and the MN Dept of Health template and guidelines.

We were REALLY hoping that Governor Tim Walz would be re-opening Minnesota on May 4th as planned, but with his new executive order to extend “Stay at Home”, our studio will remain closed through May 17th, 2020.  Our plan is to resume business on May 18th, pending staff availability (for example: one of our photographers is a mom now doing distance learning with her SIX children!).

All appointments between March 28th - May 17th will need to be rescheduled.

Those of you with appointments during this time, please CLICK HERE for more information.

We are extremely disappointed and know many of you have weddings, anniversaries and other special occasions coming up that you were hoping to have products ready for, so once everything is back up & running, we are hoping to add staff to future days to offer more appointment options; and we will work longer hours, hire additional help, if necessary, and do everything we can to try to get products out as quickly as possible.

Our hearts are VERY heavy right now, but we trusting God that He has His hand on our business.  We can't express enough how much we appreciate all of you, and are so thankful to you for supporting our local, small business.  We are praying for health & safety for you and your loved ones!

PRODUCT ORDERS WILL BE DELAYED BY 3-4 WEEKS.  Our processing company is currently closed through May 3rd, so they cannot begin fulfilling orders until May 4th.  We will continue to submit orders to be added to their queue, but if you previously received a ETA for your product, please add 3-4 weeks to that date.  We will continue to update you as we learn more.  We are hoping they will be able to get products out crazy fast once they re-open.

Our team members will continue to be available via text, phone and email, and we will continue to pray for the health of you & your families.

Thank you for supporting our local, small business.  We look forward to empowering & pampering you in the near future.

As scary as the world may appear to look right now, we encourage all of you to release your fears to God. Don't rely on your power and your ability to get by.  Seek Him wholeheartedly & remember to be KIND to one another:  "Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up."  Proverbs 12:25

  • On behalf of everyone at Sugar & Spice Photography, our hearts go out to all of those impacted by COVID-19.  Our clients and team members are like family, and have always been at the heart of everything we do.  During these challenging times, we are committed to ensuring a safe and healthy environment.

We are closely monitoring the guidance from local and federal authorities, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to safeguard our clients, team members and community.  We encourage you to do the same and stay informed.  We’re recommending all team members take precautionary health measures, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and staying home when sick.   Our studio has zero traffic from the general public and very little client traffic in general due to the nature of our business (typically only 2 team members with a client during a session).

With this, our studio is open, and our goal is to remain open. We realize the impact closing our studio can have on our team members, and we know that many of you scheduled your session far in advance and are excited to come.  We deeply treasure the opportunity to pamper, empower and uplift you with an amazing experience - especially during this difficult time.

Thank you for supporting our small business during these extraordinary times.  If you have an extenuating circumstance, or have concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.  We will evaluate on a day by day and/or a session by session basis as necessary.

While we don’t know exactly what the future may hold, we take comfort in knowing that in the midst of difficult times, we have the best opportunities to show up for each other in ways we never have before.  By sticking together and supporting each other, we’re confident that we’ll come out of this stronger than ever!
